Bex is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who resides on the ancestral, traditional, and unceded territory of the Syilx Nation (Kelowna BC). The nature of her music is birthed from a journey of self-discovery and curiosity. Her melody-forward music embodies a unique mix of pop and folk. You can find Bex singing about love and loss--where she is continuously placing vulnerability above all else. Her musical instinct is rooted in her natural ability to find the most genuine emotion and create space for it...also an aspect of her live performance that engages the audience with a gentle stylistic ease all of her own. Her ability to connect with authenticity and passion is at the heart of her music.
In 2019 Bex released Set Fire & All That There Is—live-off the floor, recovery inspired songs with a minimalist sonic landscape, born of pain and outlived by resilience. There is a therapeutic nature to these recovery songs that draws her audience to look inwards and connect to the parts of themselves that desire healing. These songs are extensions of her own experiences, made accessible to those seeking an inner evolution and path to something more meaningful and connected.
Bex has been performing live music since 2010 and has opened for acts such as Danny Michel, Luke Wallace, The Matinee, and Shred Kelly. She is currently also performs with dreamy alternative folk duo Josh + Bex, who have have performed at the internationally acclaimed Salmon Arm Roots and Blues Festival.
